My Research So Far

This research paper has been fun, yet frustrating. It is an altogether new experience for me. I mean, I have done research papers before, but never one this intense. Also, I have never used blogger to document the steps that I take to produce a research paper. I don't think that anything in this process, besides the citation machine has benefited me. All I believe is that it has slowed my process down drastically. I really do not believe that it is necessary to document every step you take and comment on how you feel about writing a research paper. I believe that the most essential part of this whole rigamarole is to write a research paper. My topic is not the same from when I first began to work on this research paper. I did have to change my topic because there was a vast supply of information to be found on how new words come from. I took it upon myself to change my topic to something i was less interested in; however, there is more information on this topic than the one before. I believe that the information that I have come upon is indeed the right information that I will need to complete my research project. Although I think that this whole process is just a big rigamarole, I have learned that when searching for specific information, you have to be specific. I have also come to the realization that the Boolean operators are very, very helpful when you want very specific information. Though this process is new, I don't think that I will ever use it again.

As it turned out, it was very difficult for me to find information on how new words are come up with. So I figured that it would be much easier for me to change my research question since I hadn't had much accomplished anyway. WHAT WERE THE MAIN REASONS THAT THE HOLOCAUST TOOK PLACE?

I think that I might change my research question because of the problem stated before about the Google searches. every time I Google Merriam Webster's name, all of the dictionaries and biographies that he has written come up. he has written so many biographies, but yet he has not written an autobiography that i have been able to find. This is so weird!

For my research project I want to research something that has interested me for a long time. Have you ever wondered who came up with the words that build our English language? Have you ever pondered upon where these words' meanings come from? Have you ever thought about how the new words that are added to our language are approved? I have! I wonder what it would take to get a new word approved and into the Merriam Webster dictionary. I think I will start by Googling M. Webser's name.
